Frank, its ENORMOUS.

Thank you for writing this ... in itself an act that is gift to us who are privileged to read and a step in recovery for those who have suffered it.

With no actual experience of the like of this but only an imagination that from childhood (for some obscure reason) has imagined tsunamis, it is overwhelming -- the actual event, the whirling in water out of control not knowing where it must end, the separation from loved ones and the eons of terror in the 45 minutes of waiting, desperately hoping to find each other, and then the realization of others' experiences and the impact that will follow.

Our thought and prayer is (and will be) with all. We are sad with those who are bereft and very, very grateful for the continuing gift of the life -- yours, Merilyn's and Felicity's and by extension for all who have survived.

Thank you Frank. Still praying for you each and of course those who live on in Samoa after such devastation.
My husband was in Taiwan following the typhoon and landslides then was moved to the Philippines where he remains trying to help the 6 million who are now homeless, thanks to more typhoons and landslides. Another typhoon is due to hit Manila tonight. Sometimes I wonder where it will end.
May hope guide us!
Sandy
